Switzerland Prohibits Cosmetics Tested on Animals

The Swiss senate has approved a law that forbids cosmetics manufacturers from marketing products whose ingredients were tested on animals. The approval aligns Swiss law with similar regulations in the EU.
According to the Swiss Federal Food Safety and Veterinary Office (BLV in its German abbreviation), more than 680,000 experiments were performed on animals in 2015, almost 600,000 of them on rats and mice.
