How Companies Are Dealing with the Biocidal Products Regulation

Interested parties can now download the agenda, videos, and presentations of this year’s Biocides Stakeholders’ Day. Some 200 attendees from 23 countries, including experts from the ECHA, the EU Commission, and industry met in Helsinki at the beginning of September. They reviewed case studies and shared the experiences that individual companies have had with the EU Biocidal Products Regulation.

A biocidal product can be permitted only if its active substance has already been approved. As of September 1, 2015, biocidal products may contain only active substances that have been published by the ECHA in the Article 95 list. The ECHA also provides a monthly update of the list.

As of August 31, some 156 applications have been received and 101 active substances approved.

We would be pleased to advise and guide you through the entire process, execute approval and authorization for you, monitor the accompanying studies (if required), collate the dossiers, and handle the project and communication with authorities. Please contact us at any time: biozide@kft.de.
